What is the time zone of Brazil?
The main land of Brazil is divided into three time zones being Acre, Amazon and Brasilia Time zone. The country is not observing daylight savings anymore since 2019.
The largest part of the land and population are in the Brasilia Time zone. It covers the mid and eastern regions including cities of Rio de Janeiro, San Paulo and capital Brasilia.

The states of Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Rondônia, Amazonas and Roraima are in the Amazon Time zone. It covers about 34% of the land.
- Amazon Time (AMT):– 4:00 UTC (behind). Also referred to as Brasília Time BRT -1
The state of Acre in the most western tip of Brazil is in the Acre Time zone.
